Our first step is to get as much detail as possible about your upcoming wedding and to discuss ideas you have about your invitations (what you like/don't like, what you want/don't want, etc.). We ask you to come to this discussion with as many details as possible - your wedding colors, theme (if any), flowers, rough headcount, etc. We'll discuss your budget as well and share information about our experiences with price ranges for various types of invitations.
Following the initial consultation, we spend up to three weeks creating custom designs. We'll share these with you and ask you to choose one. Of course, there maybe elements from the various options that you want to incorporate in your final design. We often go through a few rounds of revisions to get the design, colors and/or paper just right. Once the design is chosen, we provide a final price quote. If you approve this, we secure a $100 non-refundable deposit.
In the production phase, we work together to secure and finalize the specific information you want included on your invitation. Once the final proof is approved, we work to ensure that your invitations are ready to go at least eight weeks before your wedding date. Should you choose to have us mail the invitations for you, we'll need your guest list and addresses in an electronic format (Word or Excel document). NOTE: To avoid rushing the creative process and to minimize your stress, we ask that you contact us at least three months before your mailing date. Some clients have contacted us six or more months before their mailing date.
If you order additional materials such as programs, place cards, menus, save the date announcements, gifts for guests, etc., we'll work together to create a plan for developing these materials, aligning deadlines, securing required information, etc. We'll provide materials to you on an agreed upon date before the wedding.
