How much time is needed for my invitations to be completed?

It depends on how much you are looking for. If you just need wedding invitations, we should start the process at least 3 months before the mailing date. Should you choose a package with "Save the Date" announcements, the process must start much earlier - at least six months before your wedding date.

I don't live in Wisconsin, is it still possible to work together?

Definitely! We have found working via phone and emails is just as effective in producing custom wedding stationary as meeting in person. We are happy to mail concepts and always mail final proofs for your review.

Is there a down payment required? When is payment due?

We typically ask for a $100 non-refundable deposit. Half of the balance is due upon completion of the invitations, and the remaining balance is due upon delivery of the other materials (assuming you order items such as programs, place cards, etc). If you order invitations only, we ask for the full balance upon completion of printing.

Do you address and mail the invitations or do we do this ourselves?

Whatever is easier for you! Some clients prefer to hand-address their invitations. In this case, we deliver mail-ready invitations to you. If you'd rather have us address and mail your invitations, we ask for your guest list in an electronic format (Excel or Word document). There is no added charge for us to machine-address your invitations -- we print on the envelope or use a clear mailing label.

Do I see a proof before the invitations are printed?

Absolutely. We want to make sure you are completely satisfied before your invitations are finalized.

When do I need to mail my invitations?

Most wedding planners recommend that invitations be mailed eight weeks prior to the wedding date.

What about postage?

We do not include postage in our package prices. Postage varies depending on the weight and shape of each invitation. We will discuss postage considerations during the initial consult and design phases of our work with you. If you choose to mail invitations yourself, please take a single sample to the post office to ensure you are using the correct postage amounts. We work with you to avoid unexpected postal issues that may arise. Most clients request that we stamp envelopes and/or RSVP cards. This may save you the trouble of disassembling, stamping and reassembling your invitations.

How many invitations should I order?

Keep in mind that one invitation can cover an individual, couple or even a whole family, so you should order invitations based on those numbers. We recommend ordering at least 15 extras as well. As an example, if you are inviting 300 people, this may break down to 130 couples/families. After adding 15 extras, you'd order at total of 145 invitations.
